My Code of Ethics

~Uphold the principle of "Do No Harm" as the foremost priority, ensuring the safety and well-being of all clients. 

~Conduct all business and professional activities with honesty, integrity, and a commitment to projecting a professional image in every aspect of practice. 

~Provide services only within the scope of my qualifications and expertise.

~ Offer therapy only when there is a reasonable expectation of benefit for clients.

~Honestly represent my qualifications, education, and professional affiliations.

~ Continuously enhance professional knowledge and competence through self-assessment, ongoing education, and training.

~Refrain from unjust discrimination against clients or fellow ethical health professionals.

~Safeguard the confidentiality of all client information, except where required by law, court order, or necessary for public safety. 

~Respect clients' autonomy to refuse, modify, or terminate therapy, regardless of prior consent given. 

~Honor client boundaries regarding privacy, disclosure, exposure, emotional expression, beliefs, and expectations of professional conduct.

~Maintain a sincere commitment to delivering the highest quality care to individuals seeking my services. 

~Ensure client safety, comfort, and privacy through appropriate draping and treatment techniques.

 

 

MY RIGHTS AS YOUR THERAPIST

~ The right to decline providing massage or treatment to individuals if safety concerns or contraindications exist. 

~The right to refuse massage or treatment of specific body parts with justifiable cause. 

~The right to acknowledge limitations and contraindications of massage and refer clients to appropriate healthcare professionals. 

~The right to receive full payment before rendering services

~The right to decline gifts or benefits aimed at influencing referrals, decisions, or treatments for personal gain.

~The right to adhere to all policies, procedures, guidelines, regulations, codes, and requirements set forth by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, as well as relevant laws. 

~The right to refuse rescheduling for reasons deemed unacceptable (e.g., no-shows).

~The right to adjust prices at any time and for any reason without prior notification to clients.

~ The right to modify existing policies or introduce new ones to enhance business operations or benefit clients without prior notice. 

~ The right to provide clients with a 24-hour notice (if feasible) of appointment cancellations due to contagions for the health and safety of both clients and the therapist.

~ The right to reschedule or refuse service to clients who are ill to protect against potential infection risks.

~The right to refuse service or deduct time missed if a client is more than 15 minutes late for an appointment.

~The right to vacate the premises in the event of an emergency.

~ The right to adjust business hours for any reason without providing advance notice to clients.

~The right to ensure a safe work environment and request the immediate departure of any client if safety concerns arise, without issuing a refund.

**Important: The right to revoke any discounts and charge regular prices if clients fail to keep appointments without prior notice.**
